„Zaczęło się od wieży Babel… Wieża jest symbolem wspólnym dla wielu kultur świata. Utożsamia się z „górą kosmiczną”, wyrasta ponad przeciętność, wyraża chęć dorównania Stwórcy. Mnie jednak fascynuje nie tylko kwestia architektonicznego i graficznego tego symbolu; biblijny przekaz o wieży Babel przesuwa akcent z samej budowli na konflikt między budowniczym a Stwórcą. Wyznacza tym samym miejsce człowieka w świecie, czyniąc go zależnym od boskiej woli. Różne znaczenia symboliczne wieży staram się przekazać w moich pracach.”
Urodzony w 1966 roku; malarz i grafik. Absolwent PWSSP (obecnie ASP) w Gdańsku, dyplom w 1992 roku – na Wydziale Malarstwa i Grafiki w pracowni profesora Mieczysława Olszewskiego; aneks w zakresie grafiki warsztatowej w pracowni profesora Wiesława Dembskiego. Zatrudniony od 1993 roku, aktualnie na Wydziale Grafiki prowadzi pracownię malarstwa i rysunku. W 2012 roku uzyskał tytuł doktora habilitowanego sztuki. Od 1990 roku miał 29 wystaw indywidualnych i wziął udział w 120 wystawach zbiorowych. Stypendysta Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego (2004, 2010), dwukrotny zwycięzca konkursu GTPS na Gdańską Grafikę Roku (1992, 1997). Swoje prace graficzne prezentował na VI Triennale Grafiki Kochi w Japonii (2005), 8. Triennale Grafiki Polskiej Katowice 2012 – Nagroda Rektora krakowskiej ASP.

"It began with the Tower of Babel... The tower is a common symbol for many cultures all over the world. It is being identified with the "cosmic mountain", which rises above average, expresses the desire to match the Creator. However, I'm fascinated not only with the architectural and graphic issue of this symbol; the biblical message of the Tower of Babel shifts the accent from the building itself to the conflict between the builder and the Creator. Thus, it designates the man's place in the world, making him dependent on God's will. I try to convey various symbolic meanings of the tower in my works."
Born in 1966; a painter and graphic artist. A graduate of the PWSSP (currently the Academy of Fine Arts) in Gdańsk, diploma in 1992 – at the Faculty of Painting and Graphic Arts in the studio of Professor Mieczysław Olszewski; annex in the field of workshop graphics in the studio of Professor Wiesław Dembski. Employed since 1993, currently at the Faculty of Graphic Arts where he runs a Painting and Drawing Studio. In 2012 he obtained the title of habilitated doctor of art. From 1990, he had 29 individual exhibitions and took part in 120 group exhibitions. Scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2004, 2010), two-time winner of the GTPS competition for Gdańsk Graphic of the Year (1992, 1997). He presented his graphic works at the 6th Kochi International Triennial of Prints in Japan (2005), 8th Triennial of Polish Prints Katowice 2012 – Rector's Award of the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts.
