Magdalena Czajka-Cardoso
Urodzona w 1990 roku w Grudziądzu. Ukończyła studia magisterskie na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Gdańsku na Wydziale Grafiki w 2014 roku z wyróżnieniem. Pracuje na Kierunku Fotografia na Wydziale Rzeźby i Intermediów, a także prowadzi zajęcia na Wydziale Grafiki ww. Uczelni. Doktorat obroniła w styczniu 2022 roku. Temat rozprawy doktorskiej brzmiał: „Zderzenie fotografii artystycznej i komercyjnej. Fotografia kreacyjna, inscenizowana, manipulacja cyfrowa jako punkt wyjścia dla stworzenia autorskiego magazynu dedykowanego modzie i sztuce współczesnej”. Od 2024 roku pełni funkcję Prodziekany ds. Kierunku Fotografia.
Zajmuje się fotografią portretową i fotografią mody. Specjalizuje się w projektowaniu wydawniczym. Jej zdjęcia ukazały się w wielu publikacjach polskich i międzynarodowych takich jak magazyny Elle, Wysokie Obcasy Extra, Design Alive, Zwykłe Życie, Schön!, L’Officiel, Contributor, Sicky, Bricks, Lens Culture i wiele innych. Fotografuje dla polskich projektantów i marek.

Born in 1990 in Grudziądz. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk at the Faculty of Graphic Arts in 2014 with distinction. She works in Faculty of Photography at the Sculpture and Intermedia Department, and also teaches at the Faculty of Graphics of the above-mentioned University. She defended her PhD in January 2022. The subject of the doctoral dissertation was: “In between of artistic and commercial photography. Creative, staged photography, digital manipulation as a starting point for creating an original magazine dedicated to fashion and contemporary art”. Since 2024, she has been the Vice-Dean for the Photography Department.
She deals with portrait and fashion photography. She specializes in editorial design. Her photos have been published in many polish and international magazines, such as Elle, Wysokie Obcasy Extra, Design Alive, Zwykłe Życie, Schön!, L'Officiel, Contributor, Sicky, Bricks, Lens Culture and many others. She takes photos for polish designers and brands.
