„Zajmuję się sztuką, gdyż fascynuje mnie jej nieprzewidywalność. Nie jest to dziedzina, którą się znudzę, ponieważ jej istotą jest różnorodność i zmienność. Rano komponuję piosenki, w południe projektuję plakat, a wieczorem zajmuję się malarstwem. Jutro mogę zmienić tę kolejność albo zająć się czymś zupełnie innym. Jest to fascynujące i zarazem piękne. W projektowaniu graficznym, którego uczę na ASP, interesuje mnie przekraczanie sztywnych norm obowiązujących w tej dziedzinie.”
Maciej Salamon (ur. 1984) – malarz, muzyk i ilustrator. Studiował na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Gdańsku, gdzie obecnie prowadzi zajęcia na Wydziale Rzeźby i Intermediów. Wokalista i gitarzysta nekropolowego duetu Nagrobki. Z zespołem nagrał pięć albumów i występował na najważniejszych polskich festiwalach – m.in. Open’er (Gdynia), OFF Festival (Katowice) i Unsound (Kraków) – a także na Documenta w Kassel oraz w Muzeum Narodowym w Krakowie. Uczestnik licznych wystaw zbiorowych i indywidualnych. Tworzy teledyski i animacje. Wielokrotnie nagradzany, m.in. na festiwalach filmów animowanych w Tokio i Irvine (Kalifornia), na Yach Film Festival oraz nagrodą dla Młodych Twórców Prezydenta Miasta Gdańska czy Soplendor Gedenensis. Prowadził zakładową Galerię Gablotka na terenie Stoczni Gdańskiej. Współtwórca interdyscyplinarnego wydarzenia W szczerym polu.

"I am involved in art because I am fascinated by its unpredictability. This is not a field that I get bored of because its essence is diversity and changeability. In the morning I compose songs, at noon I design a poster and in the evening I deal with painting. Tomorrow I can change this order or do something completely different. It is fascinating and at the same time beautiful. In graphic design, which I teach at the Academy, I'm interested in exceeding rigid standards in this field. "
Maciej Salamon (b. 1984) is a painter, musician, and illustrator. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, where he currently teaches at the Faculty of Sculpture and Intermedia. He is the vocalist and guitarist of the necropolis-inspired duo Nagrobki. With the band, he has recorded five albums and performed at Poland’s major festivals, including Open’er (Gdynia), OFF Festival (Katowice), and Unsound (Kraków), as well as at Documenta in Kassel and the National Museum in Kraków.
Salamon has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions. He also creates music videos and animations. He has received multiple awards, including at animated film festivals in Tokyo and Irvine (California), at the Yach Film Festival, as well as the Young Creators Award from the President of Gdańsk and the Soplendor Gedenensis Award.
He ran the gallery Galeria Gablotka within the Gdańsk Shipyard and is a co-creator of the interdisciplinary event W szczerym polu.
