Jej praktyka artystyczna obejmuje pracę z obrazem fotograficznym i filmem eksperymentalnym. Artystka eksploruje media, którymi posługuje się jako narzedziami służącymi do rozwiązań i refleksji na temat reprezentacji, niebinarności i tożsamości.

Born in 1990 in Szczecin. Graduated with honours from the Art University in Szczecin under the supervision of dr Witold Orski. Practices photography and experimental films. She uses the media to investigate and reflect on representation, gender, and identity. Her autobiographical work is a compilation of performance and self-reflection.

Roszada

Historię z fotografią Autoportret autorstwa Claude Cahun z 1920 roku rozpoczęłam w 2019 roku. W Lipsku dokonałam pierwszego odtworzenia fotografii. W kolejnym geście zbliżenia się z figurą, performatywny akt wielokrotnego wchodzenia w obraz stał się częścią praktyki artystycznej. Analizując twórczość Cahun znalazłem drugą fotografię-kolaż, która otworzyła intrygujące perspektywy na pytania zawarte w zakresie gry płciowej, auto formacji, hierarchii społecznych, performatywności oraz tożsamości.

The year 2019 marks the beginning of my journey with the body of work of the artist Claude Cahun and predominantly with one of her photographs, Autoportrait from 1920. While in Leipzig, I remade the image for the first time. Within the next gesture of becoming the photographic figure, the performative and multiple act of entering the image became a part of an artistic practice. During the research of Cahun’s biography, I discovered a second image-collage which opened up intriguing perspectives around the questions of gender play, autoformation, social hierarchy, performativity and identity.
