Absolwent wzornictwa Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Gdańsku (2010), w której się doktoryzował w 2019 roku. Na macierzystej uczelni pracuje od 2012 roku. Odbył staż w Droog w Amsterdamie (2007). W latach 2011–2014 był projektantem w firmie Terma. Od 2008 roku wspólnie z Pauliną Ryń prowadził studio Razy2. Od roku 2020 biuro projektowe funkcjonuje pod nazwą Jacek Ryń Studio. Projektuje przedmioty codziennego użytku, meble, oświetlenie, elementy przestrzeni publicznej, a także urządzenia rehabilitacyjne. Jest autorem wielu wdrożonych produktów, w tym grzejnika PLC, który zdobył tytuł Dobry Wzór 2014 (Instytut Wzornictwa Przemysłowego) oraz must have 2015 na Łódź Design Festival. Brał udział w pracach przy urządzeniu do rehabilitacji Pictor, które zostało uhonorowane wyróżnieniem Polski Produkt Przyszłości, przyznanym przez Polską Agencję Rozwoju Przedsiębiorczości w 2013 roku. Był członkiem Rady Programowej Gdynia Design Days 2015 i 2016. Od 2016 roku jest prezesem spółki Rokky, zajmującej się produkcją inteligentnych systemów ogrzewania elektrycznego.

A graduate in design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk (2010), where he obtained his PhD in 2019. He has been working at his home university since 2012. He completed an internship at Droog in Amsterdam (2007). In the years 2011–2014, he was a designer at Terma company. From 2008, together with Paulina Ryń, he ran the Razy2 studio. Since 2020, the design office has been operating under the name Jacek Ryń Studio. Designs everyday objects, furniture, lighting, elements of public space, as well as rehabilitation devices. He is the author of many implemented products, including the PLC heater, which won the title of Good Design 2014 (Institute of Industrial Design) and must have 2015 at the Łódź Design Festival. He participated in works on the Pictor rehabilitation device, which was honoured with the Polish Product of the Future distinction, awarded by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development in 2013. He was a member of the Program Board of Gdynia Design Days 2015 and 2016. Since 2016, he has been the president of Rokky, a company dealing with the production of intelligent electric heating systems.
