„W swoich rysunkowych kompozycjach staram się operować starannie opracowanym rysunkiem światłocieniowym. Formy kształtuję przez drobny bądź delikatny modelunek. Na płaszczyźnie, obok pojedynczych zasadniczych tematów, umieszczam szereg układów różnych motywów, nadaję formę świadomie zakomponowanego szkicownika. Rysunek jest dla mnie śladem. Śladem drogi przebytej w czasie, drogi myśli, drogi ręki. Jest to zanotowany proces świadomego, bywa że nieświadomego we wstępnej fazie, dążenia za pierwszym impulsem.”
Urodziła się w 1954 roku w Olsztynie. W 1980 obroniła dyplom w PWSSP (obecnie ASP) w Gdańsku na Wydziale Malarstwa i Grafiki w pracowni profesora Kazimierza Śramkiewicza. Od 1981 roku pracuje w ASP w Gdańsku. Profesor tytularny; od roku 2003 pełni funkcję Kierownika Katedry Rysunku na Wydziale Malarstwa. Jest autorem kilkunastu recenzji w przewodach doktorskich, habilitacyjnych i profesorskich. Od 2009 roku jest członkiem Komisji Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego ds. oceny szkół artystycznych. Ma w dorobku 35 wystaw indywidualnych i udział w ponad 250 wystaw zbiorowych w kraju i zagranicą. Jej prace znajdują się w zbiorach polskich oraz zagranicznych, m.in. w USA, Kanadzie, Australii, Holandii, Szwecji, Finlandii, Wielkiej Brytanii, Hiszpanii, Belgii, Szwajcarii, Francji, Niemczech, Izraelu, Gruzji i Litwie.

"I try to use carefully designed chiaroscuro drawings in my drawing compositions. I shape forms by fine or delicate modeling. On the plane, next to individual basic themes, I place many arrangements of various motifs, giving the form of a deliberately composed sketchbook. Drawing is a trace for me. Following the path travelled in time, the path of thought, the path of the hand. It is a recorded process of conscious, sometimes unconscious in the initial phase, the pursuit of the first impulse."
She was born in Olsztyn in 1954. In 1980 she graduated from the PWSSP (now ASP) in Gdańsk at the Faculty of Painting and Graphic Arts in the studio of Professor Kazimierz Śramkiewicz. Since 1981 she has been working at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. Titular Professor; since 2003 she has been the Head of the Drawing Department at the Faculty of Painting. She is the author of several reviews in doctoral, postdoctoral and habilitation theses. Since 2009, she has been a member of the Commission of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for the assessment of art schools. She has 35 individual exhibitions and participated in over 250 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Her works are in Polish and foreign collections, including in the USA, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Great Britain, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Germany, Israel, Georgia and Lithuania.
